Hi, I’m Leonie…I do voices

Originally from Germany, I made the UK my second home back in 2013, after a two-year stint on the South Coast of France (45/10, would recommend).

A total language geek, I am bilingual German/English and fluent in French. I also dabble in Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Turkish.

And if you don’t need me to speak another language, but you want me to sound like I do, I have a whole world of accents and dialects available for your project.

Award-winning Voice Acting

I’m an award winning Voice Actor with a love for breathing life into characters that sound and feel real and leave a lasting impression.

Combining a degree in marketing with formal acting and singing training, I understand how a script works and have the tools to translate your words into emotions.

Bringing a text to life and creating a connection with the listener fascinates me. If you’ve ever listened to someone speak and it gave you goosebumps, you’ll know what I’m talking about.

German efficiency meets British charm

As a full-time professional voice talent, I’m in my studio, well….full-time (thank god for Vitamin D supplements). Which means I can usually turn around projects quickly, even same day if you’re on a tight schedule.

As a full-time perfectionist too, compelling connection, clear communication and charming collaboration are my calling card. I also love alliterations.

So that’s me. I’d love to hear about you and your project. Go ahead and hit the button below to tell me all about it.

Behind my voice

I trained in Musical Theatre and then further honed my craft in Screen Acting classes and Meisner technique workshops.
I worked in Theatre, Films and Commercials before falling in love with Voice Acting and focussing my attention purely on that, while still occasionally working on camera for projects that excite me.

Acting

I’m a trained Mezzo-Soprano with a vast repertoire and versatile singing voice.
I have worked in various fields of the performing arts industry, notably as a lead vocalist for Disneyland Paris and various cruise lines as well as cabarets and concerts.
I also have been fronting a function band since 2018.

Singing

I am passionate about passing on my knowledge and love coaching up-and-coming voice actors. From advice on home studio set-up and business questions, to demo feedback, character workouts and narration technique. I teach at drama schools as well as in 1-2-1 sessions.  Drop me a line if you’d like to chat about coaching.

Coaching

Representation matters

I am proud to be part of the LGBTQ+ community. As a genderfluid person, my pronouns are she/her or they/them, you’re welcome to use either.

I am also bisexual and feel very strongly about bi-erasure in the media and pop culture (Freddie Mercury was bi, not gay. We’re claiming him!)

To add a few more letters to this section, I also have ADHD.

Being neurodiverse comes with its challenges as well as superpowers.

I might struggle in loud environments and will probably forget your name 2 seconds after you have introduced yourself, but I also find incredibly creative solutions to any problem and my near pathological perfectionism guarantees that I never deliver anything that I am not 110% happy with.

There are a lot of misconceptions about ADHD and neurodiversity and I am very passionate about being vocal about the condition in order to educate and remove the stigma around it.

Representation and DEI have been important topics in the arts for several years. I believe that authentic casting not only increases opportunity for often marginalised communities, it also promotes authenticity, acceptance and mutual understanding.

If your project requires the lived experience of a queer and/or neurodiverse actor, drop me a line.

I’m always happy to talk.
